Chanel Loxton was put on the "Dean's List" and given an award for outstanding performance in Language, Culture and Communications for her 2nd Year at the University of Pretoria. Well done Chanel!
GRADE 7 CAMBRIDGE EXAMS Whitestone pupils wrote their first Cambridge International Primary Exam in 2006. Our aim, as always, was to further improve standards but in particular to enhance their achievement in English. The local exams were proving to be unrealistic, especially in English, which are designed for second language speakers. By taking on Cambridge International exams we had a yardstick for comparison. This gives us an indication of how well our children are prepared for their move into their Cambridge ‘O’ and ‘A’ level education. We are truly proud of the standards our pupils have achieved. A 6-6 is the highest award and places the candidate in the top 17% of results world wide. The table below shows the number of pupils who achieved in each category.
